Lean Ground Beef and Tender Cabbage in a Light Ginger-Garlic Soy Glaze
Ingredients:
1 lb lean ground beef
4 cups green cabbage, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon olive oil or avocado oil
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
2 green onions, sliced
Black pepper to taste
Directions:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
Add ground beef and cook for 5–6 minutes, breaking it apart, until browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat if needed.
Stir in garlic and ginger and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add sliced cabbage to the skillet and toss well with the beef.
Pour in soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Stir-fry for 4–5 minutes until cabbage is tender but still slightly crisp.
Season with black pepper and red pepper flakes if using.
Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions.
Serve hot on its own or over steamed rice or cauliflower rice.
