Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon fresh oregano leaves or 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 2 cups (480 ml) water
- 1–2 teaspoons honey (optional)
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice (optional)
- 1 thin slice of fresh ginger (optional)
Instructions
- Bring the water to a boil in a small saucepan or kettle.
- Add the fresh or dried oregano to a mug or teapot.
- Pour the boiling water over the oregano.
- Cover and let steep for 5–10 minutes.
- Strain the tea if using fresh oregano or loose dried oregano.
- Stir in honey and lemon juice if desired.
- Serve warm and enjoy.
Tips
- For a stronger flavor, steep for up to 10 minutes.
- Add a slice of ginger for extra warmth and spice.
- Enjoy 1–2 cups per day as part of a balanced diet.
