🌶️ Spicy Roasted Broccoli with Feta
Serves: 3–4
Prep: 10 minutes
Cook: 20–25 minutes
Ingredients
- 2 large heads broccoli, cut into florets
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1–2 tbsp chili flakes
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- ½ cup crumbled feta cheese
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or cilantro
- 1–2 tbsp finely chopped fresh red chili
- 1 tsp sesame seeds, optional
Instructions
- Heat the oven to 220°C / 425°F. Line a baking tray with parchment.
- Season the broccoli: Toss florets with olive oil, garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Roast: Spread broccoli in a single layer, keeping some space between the pieces. Roast for 18–25 minutes, turning once, until the edges are deeply browned and crispy.
- Make the spicy glaze: Mix honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and chili flakes in a small bowl.
- Glaze the broccoli: Drizzle the sauce over the hot roasted broccoli and toss well. Return to the oven for 2–3 minutes so the glaze becomes sticky.
- Finish: Transfer to a serving plate and scatter generously with feta, fresh chili, parsley/cilantro, and sesame seeds.
- Serve immediately while the broccoli is hot and crispy.
