Air fryer onion potatoes made with Lipton onion soup mix recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups of cubed potatoes (russet or Yukon Gold work well)
  • 1 packet of Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of paprika (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for a few minutes.
  2. Prepare the Potatoes: Wash, peel (optional), and cut the potatoes into bite-sized cubes. Pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture. This helps make them crispier in the air fryer.
  3. Coat with Olive Oil: In a large bowl, toss the potato cubes with olive oil. Make sure they are evenly coated. You can use a brush or your hands to ensure an even coating.
  4. Add Lipton Onion Soup Mix: Sprinkle the entire packet of Lipton Onion Soup Mix over the potatoes. You can also add optional seasonings like garlic powder and paprika for extra flavor. Toss the potatoes again to coat them evenly with the seasoning mix.
  5. Air Fry: Place the seasoned potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Don’t overcrowd the basket; you may need to cook them in batches if necessary.
  6. Cook: Cook the potatoes in the preheated air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes. Check them after 10 minutes, shake the basket, and continue cooking until they are golden brown and crispy. Cooking time may vary depending on the size of your potato cubes and your air fryer model.
  7. Season with Salt and Pepper: Once the potatoes are done, remove them from the air fryer and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve: Serve your air fryer onion potatoes immediately as a side dish. They are delicious on their own or with your favorite dipping sauce…
