AIR FRYER SESAME CHICKEN BREAST

Ingredients:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour or cornstarch
  • Cooking spray or a misting bottle with oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: green onions, sliced for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and minced ginger to make the sesame sauce. Set it aside.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  3. Place the flour or cornstarch on a plate. Dredge each chicken breast in the flour or cornstarch, making sure to coat them evenly and shaking off any excess.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for a few minutes.

  5. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or use an oil misting bottle to coat it with a thin layer of oil.
  6. Place the coated chicken breasts in the air fryer basket, leaving some space between them to allow for proper air circulation.
  7. Cook the chicken in the air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes per side. Cooking times may vary depending on the thickness of your chicken breasts. The chicken is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and is golden brown and crispy on the outside.
  8. During the last few minutes of cooking, drizzle the sesame sauce over the chicken breasts and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  9. Close the air fryer and continue cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes or until the sauce thickens and the sesame seeds become toasted.
  10. Carefully remove the chicken from the air fryer, and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  11. Garnish with sliced green onions, if desired….
