Fixed this last night and it was out of this world!

Ingredients:

– 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
– 1 cup marinara sauce
– 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
– 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
– 1 tablespoon olive oil
– Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).

2. In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce to prevent sticking.

3. Season the chicken breasts with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper on both sides.

4. Heat olive oil in a large, oven-proof skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and sear on both sides until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.

5. Transfer the seared chicken breasts to the baking dish. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the chicken.

6. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over each chicken breast.

7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly and starting to turn golden.

8. Let the dish rest for a few minutes before serving.

9. Garnish with fresh basil leaves for an extra pop of color and flavor if desired.
