Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped (optional)

  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
    or 1 cup frozen spinach, thawed and squeezed dry

  • 5 large eggs

  • 1 cup milk (whole or 2%)

  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, Swiss, or feta)

  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for extra flavor)

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg (optional, classic quiche flavor)


Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven
    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch pie dish or baking dish.

  2. Cook Vegetables
    Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat.

    • Sauté onion for 2–3 minutes until soft.

    • Add spinach and cook until wilted (or heated through if frozen).
      Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

  3. Mix Egg Base
    In a large bowl, whisk together:

    • Eggs

    • Milk

    • Salt, pepper, garlic powder, and nutmeg

  4. Assemble Quiche
    Spread the spinach mixture evenly in the prepared dish.
    Sprinkle shredded cheese and Parmesan over the top.
    Pour the egg mixture evenly over everything.

  5. Bake
    Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is lightly golden.

  6. Cool & Serve
    Let rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
