Sticky Garlic Butter Glazed Ribs

Description

Sticky Garlic Butter Glazed Ribs are a rich, finger-licking comfort food classic. Slow-cooked or baked until fall-apart tender, these ribs are tossed in a glossy, savory-sweet glaze made from melted butter, minced garlic, brown sugar, and a touch of soy sauce or barbecue seasoning, resulting in a caramelized crust that packs an enormous amount of flavor in every bite.

Ingredients

  • Pork ribs: 1 rack of spare ribs or baby back ribs (cut into individual rib sections)

  • Butter: 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (for the rich garlic butter glaze)

  • Garlic: 4–5 cloves, finely minced

  • Brown sugar: 3 tablespoons (packed, for caramelization and stickiness)

  • Soy sauce: 2 tablespoons (for depth and savory umami)

  • Honey or maple syrup: 1 tablespoon (to amp up the glossy, sticky finish)

  • Smoked paprika & black pepper: 1 teaspoon smoked paprika and ½ teaspoon black pepper (plus salt to taste)

  • Apple cider vinegar: 1 tablespoon (to balance the rich sweetness)

  • Fresh parsley: Chopped, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Ribs: Cut the rack of ribs into individual bone-in sections. Season generously with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.

  2. Cook / Bake: Place the ribs on a foil-lined baking sheet or roast them covered at 180°C (350°F) for 45 to 60 minutes until tender and nearly cooked through.

  3. Make the Garlic Butter Glaze: In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in the brown sugar, soy sauce, honey, and apple cider vinegar, simmering until slightly thickened.

  4. Glaze and Caramelize: Brush the garlic butter glaze generously over the ribs. Return them to the oven (or broil for 3–5 minutes, watching closely) until the glaze bubbles up into a thick, sticky, caramelized coating.

  5. Serve: Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve warm with extra napkins.
