  • ¼ cup of optionally grated Parmesan cheese

Guidelines

1. Turn on the oven:

  • Turn the oven on to 375°F, or 190°C.

2. Get the dough ready:

  • Using a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to fit a 9 x 13-inch baking sheet that has been oiled. Firmly press it into the pan’s bottom and up its sides.

3. Arrange the Ingredients in Layers:

  • Beginning with the fillings layered on top of the dough:
  • Start with the ham and salami.
  • Go ahead and add the provolone.
  • Add the spinach, roasted red peppers, and black olives (if using) in layers.
  • Evenly drizzle the layers with the Italian dressing.

4. Include the top layer

  • To cover the top, roll out some more pizza dough. To seal it with the bottom dough, press the edges.

5. Bake and season:

  • Drizzle a little olive oil over the top, then top with Parmesan cheese (if using) and Italian seasoning.
  • Bake until the top is golden brown, 25 to 30 minutes.

6. Chill and Cut:

  • Before cutting into squares, let the subs cool for ten to fifteen minutes.

7. Present:

  • Heat or serve room temperature. Serve these with a side dish of marinara sauce for dipping or just as is!
