Air Fryer Donuts

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 can (16.3 ounces) refrigerated biscuits (8 biscuits)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Optional toppings: powdered sugar, chocolate glaze, vanilla glaze, sprinkles, etc.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
  2. Remove the biscuits from the can and separate them. Use a small round cookie cutter or the cap of a water bottle to cut out the center of each biscuit to create the donut shape. You can also use your fingers to gently stretch out the center of each biscuit.
  3. Brush both sides of the biscuit donuts with melted butter.
  4. In a shallow bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
  5. Dip each buttered biscuit donut into the cinnamon-sugar mixture, coating both sides evenly.
  6. Place the coated donuts in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not touching each other. You may need to work in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
  7. Air fry the donuts at 350°F (175°C) for 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip them over and air fry for an additional 2-3 minutes on the other side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Once the donuts are done, remove them from the air fryer and let them cool slightly on a wire rack.
  9. If desired, you can top the donuts with powdered sugar, chocolate glaze, vanilla glaze, sprinkles, or any other toppings of your choice.
  10. Serve the air fryer donuts warm and enjoy
