Air fryer Garlic Butter Roasted Mushrooms

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) button or cremini  mushrooms, cleaned and trimmed
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted  butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme (or 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the  Mushrooms:

  • In a large bowl, combine the melted  butter, minced garlic, olive oil, dried thyme, salt, and pepper.

  • Add the  mushrooms to the bowl and toss to coat them evenly with the garlic butter mixture.
  1. Air Fry the  Mushrooms:
    • Place the mushrooms in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
    • Air fry for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking to ensure even roasting. The  mushrooms should be tender and slightly golden brown when done.
  2. Garnish and Serve:
    • Transfer the roasted mushrooms to a serving dish.
    • If desired, sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese before serving.

Tips:

  • Ensure the mushrooms are in a single layer for even cooking. You may need to cook in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
  • Feel free to experiment with additional seasonings like rosemary, oregano, or red pepper flakes for a different flavor profile.
