4 slices of bread (your choice, but traditionally white or whole wheat)
Butter or oil for frying
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: chopped chives or parsley for garnish
Instructions:
Cook the Bacon:
Heat a skillet or frying pan over medium heat.
Place the bacon slices in the pan and cook them until they are browned and crispy, usually about 4-5 minutes per side. You can adjust the cooking time according to your preference for crispiness.
Prepare the Toast:
While the bacon is cooking, toast the slices of bread to your desired level of toastiness.
Cook the Eggs:
Once the bacon is cooked, transfer it to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess grease.
In the same skillet, if desired, you can use the remaining bacon fat to fry the eggs for extra flavor. Alternatively, you can use a little butter or oil.
Crack each egg into the skillet, being careful not to break the yolk.
Cook the eggs to your preference. For sunny-side-up eggs, cook them until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny. If you prefer your eggs over easy or over medium, carefully flip them and cook for an additional minute or two.
Assemble:
Place a slice of toast on each plate.
Arrange a couple of slices of bacon on top of each slice of toast.
Carefully place a cooked egg on top of the bacon.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Garnish with chopped chives or parsley if desired.
Serve:
Serve the bacon and eggs on toast immediately while still warm.
