Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Intensity: Moderate
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Start by seasoning the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Stir in the heavy cream, grated Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Allow the sauce to simmer and thicken for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning some of the sauce over them. Let the chicken simmer in the sauce for another 2-3 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Once the chicken is heated through and the sauce has thickened to your desired consistency, remove the skillet from heat.
- Garnish the creamy garlic Parmesan chicken with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
