chicken crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside on Air fryer delicious

Ingredients: 

1 whole chicken (about 1.5 – 2 kg)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon sweet paprika or paprika
1 teaspoon dried herbs (such as rosemary, thyme or mixed herbs)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 lemon (optional for the inside of the chicken)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken
    Clean the chicken by removing traces of fat or feathers. Dry well with paper towels to make it crispier.
  2. Season
    Mix the olive oil in a bowl with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, herbs, salt and pepper.
    Spread this mixture all over the chicken, making sure to cover the skin. You can also lightly season the inside. If using lemon, place it inside the chicken for a hint of flavor.
  3. Preheat the Airfryer
    Preheat your Airfryer to 180°C (350°F) for 5 minutes.
  4. Cook the chicken
    Place the chicken in the Airfryer basket with the breast side down. Cook at 180°C for 30 minutes.
    After this time, turn the chicken over so that the skin of the breast remains facing up. Cook for another 25-30 minutes.
  5. Check for doneness
    Use a kitchen thermometer to make sure the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F) on the thickest part of the breast and thigh. If you don’t have a thermometer, click on the chicken: the juices should run clear, not pink.
  6. Rest and Serve
    Let the chicken rest for 5-10 minutes before cutting so that the juices are well distributed.
    Extra tip
    If you want it extra crispy, turn the temperature up to 200°C for the last 5 minutes.
