Chicken Gyro Wrap

Chicken Gyro Wrap (Serves 2–3)
Ingredients

Chicken

500 g (about 1 lb) chicken thighs or breasts

2 tbsp olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp dried oregano

1 tsp paprika

½ tsp cumin

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp black pepper

Juice of ½ lemon

Tzatziki Sauce

1 cup Greek yogurt

½ cucumber, grated and squeezed dry

1 clove garlic, finely minced

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp lemon juice or vinegar

Salt to taste

Optional: chopped dill or parsley

Wrap & Toppings

Pita breads or flatbreads

Sliced cucumber

Sliced tomatoes

Thinly sliced red onion

Fresh parsley or dill

Optional: crumbled feta

Instructions

1. Marinate the chicken

Mix olive oil, garlic, oregano, paprika, cumin, salt, pepper, and lemon juice.

Coat the chicken well.

Marinate at least 30 minutes (overnight is even better).

2. Make the tzatziki

Combine yogurt, cucumber, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, and salt.

Chill until ready to use (this improves flavor).

3. Cook the chicken

Grill pan, skillet, or grill on medium-high heat.

Cook chicken 4–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.

Rest for a few minutes, then slice.

4. Warm the pita

Heat in a dry pan or oven until soft and lightly toasted.

5. Assemble

Spread tzatziki on the pita.

Add sliced chicken.

Top with cucumber, tomato, red onion, herbs, and feta if using.

Roll or fold.
