Ingredients
-
Bread: 1 round artisan sourdough or boule loaf
-
Cheese: 2 cups shredded mozzarella, brie, or fontina cheese
-
Butter: 1/2 cup melted butter mixed with 2 cloves of minced garlic
-
Toppings: 1/2 cup dried cranberries and 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
-
Herbs: Fresh rosemary and chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
-
Score the Bread: Using a serrated knife, cut a grid pattern into the top of the loaf, slicing deep down without cutting all the way through the bottom crust.
-
Stuff the Openings: Gently pull the bread cubes apart slightly and stuff the crevices with the shredded cheese, dried cranberries, and chopped walnuts.
-
Butter & Season: Drizzle the garlic-infused melted butter evenly all over the loaf, making sure it seeps down into the cuts.
-
Bake: Wrap the entire loaf loosely in aluminum foil. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 15 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for another 5-10 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
-
Garnish: Top with fresh rosemary sprigs and chopped parsley before serving warm.
