Ingredients
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped or grated
- 1 large piece (about 3–4 inches/75–100 g) fresh ginger, peeled and grated
- 6–8 cloves garlic, minced or grated
- Juice of 1 large lemon (about 2–3 tablespoons)
- ½ cup (170 g) honey
Instructions
- Peel and grate the ginger.
- Finely chop or grate the onion.
- Mince or grate the garlic.
- Combine the onion, ginger, and garlic in a clean glass jar.
- Pour in the lemon juice and honey.
- Stir well until everything is evenly coated.
- Seal the jar and refrigerate for 12–24 hours before using to allow the flavors to blend.
Storage
- Keep refrigerated.
- Use within 1 week for the best quality.
How it’s commonly used
Some people take:
- 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon once or twice a day, or
- Stir a spoonful into warm (not boiling) water or tea.
