Preheat and Prep:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Lightly grease a baking dish (such as a 9×9-inch pan or a similar ceramic casserole dish) with a little butter or oil.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, maple syrup (or honey), melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Combine Dry Ingredients:

Stir the old-fashioned rolled oats, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt directly into the wet mixture until fully combined.

Assemble the Bake:

Pour half of the oat mixture into your prepared baking dish.

Scatter 1.5 cups of the fresh blueberries evenly across the layer.

Pour the remaining oat mixture over the berries, then top the entire dish with the remaining 0.5 cup of blueberries and the sliced almonds.

Place into the oven and bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown, the edges are slightly crisp, and the center is fully set.
