INGREDIENTS
Pizza Dough
- ▢¾ cup warm water 110 degrees F
- ▢1 teaspoon sugar
- ▢1 ⅛ teaspoons dry yeast
- ▢1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour plus more for dusting
- ▢1 tablespoon olive oil
- ▢1 teaspoon salt
Assembly
- ▢1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ▢1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- ▢4 tablespoons butter
INSTRUCTIONS
- Stir together warm water and yeast in a large bowl.
- Allow the yeast to proof for five minutes or until the top is bubbly.
- Once the five minutes are up, add in the sugar, flour, olive oil, and salt to the yeast and mix until fully combined.
- In the bowl of a stand mixer use the dough hook to knead the dough for five minutes on medium speed. You could also knead the dough by hand on a floured surface for ten minutes.
- Oil a large bowl and add the dough ball. Cover with a lightweight towel and allow the dough to rise for 2 hours or until it is doubled in size.
- Preheat the air fryer to 380 degree F.
- Meanwhile, divide the dough ball into two equal sections.
- Roll out the first section of dough with a rolling pin until it is about 8 inches in diameter.
- Grease a metal pie plate or cake pan with one tablespoon of butter.
- Transfer the rolled out dough to the pan and press it into the pan.
- Cook the dough for five minutes at 380 degrees F in the air fryer.
- After the five minutes are up, spread one tablespoon of butter, 3/4 cup cheese, and 1/2 tablespoon Italian seasoning on the dough.
- And then, cook for another 5 minutes.
- Repeat the steps for the second dough ball.
