Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Pudding:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract.
    • Beat with an electric mixer until the mixture is smooth and thick. Set aside.
  2. Make the Coffee Syrup:
    • In a small bowl, combine the cooled brewed coffee, coffee liqueur (if using), and sugar.
    • Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. Assemble the Tiramisu Cups:
    • Break the ladyfinger cookies in half, if needed, to fit into your serving cups.
    • Quickly dip each piece of ladyfinger into the coffee syrup, making sure they are soaked but not overly saturated.
    • Layer the soaked ladyfingers at the bottom of each serving cup.
    • Add a layer of the mascarpone pudding mixture over the ladyfingers.
    • Repeat the layers until the cups are filled, finishing with a layer of the pudding mixture on top.
  4. Chill and Serve:
    • Cover the assembled cups with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
    • Before serving, dust the top of each cup with unsweetened cocoa powder and add dark chocolate shavings, fresh berries, or mint leaves for garnish if desired.
